SF International Tea Festival ’18

I cannot begin to explain how excited I was to be able to take a trip to NorCal this past weekend (that’ll be another post for this week). My amazing friend Alejandra and I went to San Francisco this weekend to attend the SF International Tea Festival! As you probably do not know, I love tea! I am a huge fan of anything that has to do with tea pretty much. We got to taste and explore different teas from around the world and had an amazing time doing it!

We arrived at the San Francisco Ferry Building where on the second floor was the event. After receiving our goodie bag from the event staff, Ale and I went around tasting, smelling, and exploring all the teas offered from different vendors. From Kenya to China to Japan, the teas we sampled were definitely a punch to our taste buds. Every vendor had something different to offer when it came to their teas. We had tasted a range of green, white, black, oolong, and even PURPLE teas (S/O to Kenya!). We were so amazed by the availability of teas at the event, we were not prepared to experience such a lovely afternoon.

One of my favorite spots was Tea Crush. We met Michelle, who was the vendor at the time and she gave us sparkling tea samples! I love sparking/mineral water to begin with, so trying these new concoctions was just heavenly! I loved it so much, that I bought their 3 available flavors right then and there. Chatting with Michelle and sharing a love for teas and their versatility, I was kind of bummed when she mentioned it was a local beverage, and we all know I am not a NorCal Local. And while I almost cried defeat, she let me know that they are expanding to SoCal! Score on the best sparkling teas I’ve ever had!

Alas, all good things come to an end. After completing our purchases and walking for a few hours to check out all the vendors, we really enjoyed the time we spent tasting teas. I am a huge tea enthusiast, so Ale hit the nail on the head with this event. Spending an afternoon drinking tea, chatting up with local and international vendors, and having an overall great time was so damn pleasant! Thank you SF International Tea Festival for a fantastic time! Follow SF International Tea Festival here.
